Notre-Dame de Paris special evening: Film and Conversation – December 1, 2025

In the context of its partnership with Villa Albertine DC, American Friends of Chartres is pleased to invite you to a Documentary Screening and Conversation on Notre Dame de Paris

On December 1st, join Villa Albertine and Movie Nights by French in Motion, for a conversation with a leading expert on the cathedral’s restoration followed by a special documentary screening.

The evening features the presence of Jennifer Feltman, Associate Professor of Art History and Medieval Art at the Department of Art & Art History at the University of Alabama, in conversation with writer, filmmaker, and art historian Paul Glenshaw.

Filmed over five years, the documentary “Notre Dame Résurrection” offers a rare insight into the extraordinary reconstruction of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris after the 2019 fire. Thanks to privileged access to the construction site, hours of previously unseen footage, and exclusive interviews with the craftsmen, architects, and teams involved, the film reveals the human, technical, and artistic challenges behind one of the most ambitious restoration projects of the 21st century.
